CANADA, May 3, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – If you live too far away to attend the National March For Life in Ottawa on May 9, you may still be able to stand up for human rights at a local Marches for Life being held across the country.
“In addition to the March in Ottawa, all provinces but Ontario and Quebec, whose focus is on the relatively local National Capital, have begun holding regional Marches for Life at their provincial legislatures,” says Campaign Life Coalition.
“Last year, more than 25,000 Canadians participated in the national and local marches, signaling that abortion is by far the greatest human rights and social justice issue in Canada.”

The regional Marches normally occur at the provincial legislature, but not always. From west to east, the following cities are hosting a March for Life this year:
Victoria, B.C.
Thursday May 9, 2013, from Centennial Square to the BC Legislature
Marchers should be at Centennial Square by 1:45 pm. The March will leave at 2:00 pm, and head down Government Street to the B.C. Legislature. Marchers will arrive at the Legislature front lawn at approximately 2:30 p.m. for the Rally for Life, which will have inspirational speakers and lively music until 3:30 p.m.

Gather at the Legislature at 12:15 pm. Speeches start at 1:00 p.m. March at 1:30 p.m. Walk to Churchill Square and back to Legislature by 3:30 p.m. Closing at 4:00 p.m.

The evening before the March, a candlelight prayer vigil will be held in front of the Victoria General Hospital on South Park St. at 8 p.m.
