SALT LAKE CITY, February 8, 2002 (LSN.ca) – News reports indicate that sponsors of “SafeGames 2002”—including Planned Parenthood and the American Red Cross—intend to distribute 250,000 condoms in Utah during the winter Olympic Games. Judie Brown, president of American Life League (ALL) slammed the “SafeGames” initiative saying, “Why don’t they tell the truth? – Condoms have a nearly one-in-six failure rate. That’s the same odds as Russian Roulette. And considering one of the risks of a faulty condom is HIV transmission, the results could be equally deadly.”
Bryan Kemper of the ALL sponsored youth group Rock for Life will join other pro-life youth groups using the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a platform to tell the truth about abortion. They will deliver their message through hundreds of signs and T-shirts reading, “abortion is homicide,”“face it abortion kills,” and “stop all abortion.”
In addition to proclaiming the truth about the evils of abortion, Kemper will join Generation Life in protesting the distribution of condoms at the Olympics. “The only 100 percent effective way,” says Kemper, “to protect yourself against the HIV virus is to embrace chastity – which is abstinence before marriage and fidelity within it. Those pushing condoms on our generation are guilty of pushing lies and immorality on young people. Shame on them!
