LONDON, Apr 18 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Former Spice Girl turned United Nations Population Fund and Marie Stopes spokesperson Geri Halliwell was met with a pro-life picket as she arrived at a UN summit for young people in London on Saturday.  Halliwell, who travels the world on behalf of the UNFPA and the international abortion-providing organization Marie Stopes, promoted her usual message of “safe sex” and contraceptives at the United Nations Millennium Summit attended by over 120 young people aged 16 to 18 from around the world.  During her talk two young women in the audience interrupted Halliwell to inform her that Marie Stopes was interfering with their country in Latin America.

Last June, under protest by Church leaders, Halliwell urged youth in the Philippines to use contraception.
