Christian and pro-life groups have been recommending the new Hollywood release Prince of Egypt which was first shown Friday in theatres worldwide. According to reports from Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, the producers of the animated film “sought to ensure that the tale was told faithfully, and they went out of their way to make sure the retelling of the familiar story did not insult religious sensibilities.” The production company DreamWorks consulted religious figures from several faith communities, including Christian, Jewish and Muslim. The list of those consulted included the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, Dr. James Dobson, the Rev. Billy Graham and Rev. Jerry Falwell.
