August 21, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) — More than 300 pro-life rallies are planned in cities across the United States and four other countries this weekend.

From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. local time tomorrow, protests and rallies will be sponsored by Created Equal, Pro-Life Action League, and Citizens for a Pro-life Society. Locations can be found here.

According to a press release, the rallies have “the purpose of creating awareness of the barbaric practice of abortion and the sale of aborted baby body parts…”

The release describes the harvesting and sale of fetal parts as “a scandal that has erupted in recent weeks due to undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress. Currently, there are over 300 cities in 47 states and 5 countries represented in the nationwide protest.”

Mark Harrington, Created Equal’s National Director, said in a statement that “we don’t just want to defund Planned Parenthood; we want to defeat Planned Parenthood. We cannot only look to Washington, DC and our state governments to end the killing.”

Likewise, the Pro-Life Action League's Eric Scheidler said that “these videos are exposing the American people to the truth about Planned Parenthood and the truth about abortion. How can you deny the humanity of a tiny person whose body parts are being harvested for medical use?”

And Monica Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society noted that “when PP technicians are scavenging through the body parts of aborted babies to find tissue that they hope to sell, this adds a whole new gruesome and ghoulish layer to the already highly controversial practice of abortion in America.”

“It’s bad enough that Planned Parenthood is profiting from abortions–but on top of that they exploit the bodies of their murder victims for additional revenue,” said Miller.

The rallies are the second nationwide effort in the last month to bring attention to Planned Parenthood's business practices. On July 28, more than 13,000 people participated in #WomenBetrayed rallies organized by Students for Life of America. More than 550 news outlets in 85 cities and 34 states covered the rallies.
