TORONTO, July 21 (LSN) – CBC reported last week that an American woman is having the baby of her dead husband by way of sperm taken from the man after he died. It was used to fertilize eggs harvested from the woman in a procedure carried out in Los Angeles. Doctors say they sometimes remove sperm from men after they die at the request of the families, but they say this is the first time it has actually been used. The woman is now one month pregnant.
