MONTREAL, September 27, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) –  The 59-year-old mother of a playwright with multiple sclerosis has been arrested after admitting to police that her son died as a result of assisted suicide.  CBC reports that Charles Fariala, 36, whose play Victoria will premiere at the National Arts Centre in October was found dead in his Montreal home Sunday after his mother called authorities.  The incident comes as the trial of assisted suicide trial of Evelyn Martens is underway in B.C.  See LifeSiteNews.com coverage of the Martens trial:  https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2004/sep/04092008.html
