QUEBEC, Oct 28 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In response to demands from famed abortionist Henry Morgentaler yesterday, the Quebec government has said that it is willing to provide “more free abortion-  related services at private clinics. Morgentaler, using a flaw in Canada’s immigration policy, argued that since refugees can receive free (taxpayer funded) abortions in the province courtesy of the feds, Quebec residents should also be able to do so.

Women in the province have to pay $450 to have their babies killed, according to a report in the National Post. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba “also refuse to pay for the cost of private clinic abortions,” noted the paper, but “Quebec was singled out because Parti Quebecois health ministers have supported free clinic abortions in theory, but in practice pay only doctors’ fees, not clinic overhead costs.”

Quebec Health Minister Pauline Marois said that a government report to be released in December would include whatever new provisions the province deems necessary. She predicted that “the new measures would only cost Quebec about $3 million,” Reuters reported.
