LONDON, Feb 4, 2001 – The Queen has invested in a company which uses tissue from aborted babies for experimental treatments for brain diseases such a Parkinson’s. The Mail, a UK paper, reported Sunday that the Queen invested £200,000 with ReNeuron Holdings in the name of Sir Michael Peat, who is The Keeper of the Privy Purse, with the address given as Buckingham Palace. Ananova reports the Queen bought 102,000 shares at 195p a share when the company floated on the Stock Market in November.
