AYLMER, ON, July 24, 2001 (LSN.ca) – A peaceful rally is being planned in support of the Christian family whose 7 children were forcefully taken from their home by the Children’s Aid Society and police on July 4 over the issue of spanking. The rally is to start at 9 a.m. on Thursday July 26, at 9 am outside the courthouse in St. Thomas, Ontario where a hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30.

The earlier reported court date of August 9th has been canceled. The Church of God, has stressed that the rally be PEACEFUL and has asked participants to “display a Christian demeanour.” The court is located at 145 Curtis St., facing also onto Catherine St., in downtown St. Thomas.
