September 25, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – A quick update and urgent message: we are halfway through our Fall Fundraising Campaign, and we have raised $87,000 of our $300,000 goal. To reach that minimum goal I’ve included some good reasons below for you today to join our growing team of supporters who keep this truth mission afloat!

Readers like you are 100% responsible for our international pro-life and pro-family news reporting that reaches tens of millions every year.

First, with millions of people reading our news reporting each month, it would only take a fraction of our readers to chip-in even just $20 to bring us to the finish line.

Given the important role you play in making this mission possible, I hope you will consider a gift of support today through our secure donate page at https://give.lifesitenews.com

Our readers and supporters have made our news site one of the top 1% most trafficked websites in the world. That’s hundreds of millions of pages of life, family, faith, and freedom news being read and shared around the globe!

That also means you are supporting a news agency with a team of trained, professional, full-time journalists whose job it is to provide the BIG PICTURE perspective of the battle between the Culture of Life and the Culture of Death!

I’d like to introduce you to our newest team members:

Heather Holmes – Human Resources & Payroll Specialist

Heather started working with LifeSite in May. She lives in Front Royal, Virginia, which is nestled in the Shenandoah Valley and is mile zero for the famous Skyline Drive, the historic scenic drive famous for its majestic views of the splendors of Fall.  Her family has lived in Front Royal for 4 years having relocated from Louisiana.

Before joining the LifeSiteNews team, Heather worked as an office manager for a small Christian owned and operated business located in Southern California. She and her husband have been married for nearly 18 years and have five children, two boys and three girls.

Heather relates, “Telecommuting for the last 17 years has been a privilege and allowed me to be present as both mom and a home educator. In my youth, I had the privilege of serving on the staff of the ministries of Teen Missions, Int’l. and AIDS Orphans and Street Children. Most little children dreamed of growing up and becoming a mom, or a teacher, but I grew up wanting to run an orphanage. I was honored to spend 8 years working in missions doing just that. Now I am excited to part of the mission of LifeSiteNews, for Life, Faith, and Family.

Vicky Whisenant – Marketing Coordinator

Originally from Alaska, Vicky now resides in Central Texas. She and her husband, Justin, have been married for fifteen years and are the parents of 4 children (eight and under): Ben, Norman, Cora, and Rosalie. Vicky homeschools her children while enthusiastically working parttime for LifeSite. She is busy but very passionate about the call on her life to live out her vocation fully while fighting for culture, life, and family as part of the LifeSite team.

Vicky holds a Bachelor degree in English from the University of Alaska Anchorage and has over fourteen yearsexperience in marketing, communications and project management.

Vicky shares, “I am absolutely honored to use the gifts God has given me to help LifeSite reach more people with the truth. I hope more and more people will join us in this battle for our society and for our children!”

Michael Hogan – Assistant Video Editor

Michael is from Greenville, SC. His hobbies are photography, video production, and obviously video editing. In his free time, Michael loves taking his kids, Ben and Hazel, to parks or the mountains of South Carolina. He and his wife, Daphne, are getting into hiking and camping. Michael also enjoys reading Church history, theology, history books, and keeping up with political and current event podcasts.

Michael shares, “I came to work here in short because I want to use the talents God gave me to serve Christ and His Church, and LifeSiteNews is a company willing to speak Christ’s truth in a world where that is not exactly popular. I have always loved video but my Catholic faith has given my love for video a direction it never had before.

Your support allows us to have such a solidly-grounded and growing team to help us face the greatest issues of our time around the world: life, family, and faith which all affect culture!

There is literally no other news website where you will find as much original, in-depth, professional reporting on every aspect of the war against life and family around the globe from a fearlessly, and uncompromisingly pro-life and pro-family perspective.

At LifeSite, we don’t just cover abortion. We cover the great danger from globalist manipulations, gay ‘marriage’, the growing threat from gender ideology, euthanasia and assisted suicide, population control, religious freedom, embryonic research, and countless other topics. And we reveal and educate our readers about how all of these attacks by advocates of the Culture of Death are interrelated!

Most new readers of LifeSite experience a rapid growth in understanding about these astounding issue connections that no one has ever told them about before.

Our readers and supporters have helped grow our team to now almost 50 full and part-time professional pro-life journalists, editors, and support staff – each personally dedicated 100% to fighting for life, family, faith, and freedom! We carefully hire only people with that dedication. Working with LifeSite has to be a mission, and not just a job.

In addition to our staff, we regularly use the services of numerous other, also carefullyselected persons and companies, that are essential to the operation of such a complex, hightraffic news service.

Meanwhile, our dense website now hosts nearly 100,000 articles (and growing) going back 23 years, and welcomes nearly 110 MILLION visitors every single year!

And yet, we operate on a budget the fraction of the size of organizations the same size, leaving every pro-life and pro-family leader we’ve worked with wondering in amazement how we accomplish all that we do with such relatively limited resources!

We always explain to them – it's our supporters who make this possible!

For the past 20 years, LifeSite has been a mostly crowd-funded, completely independent news agency! No large donors, advertisers, Church or other organizations, tell us what we should report or how we should write our stories.

That independence is of tremendous benefit to the news we can provide you with every day.

It is only thanks to the growing army of many thousands of committed readers like you who choose to support us that any of this has been possible.

When it comes to our mission, LifeSite is above all answerable to God, who is TRUTH.

Can I count on your support today to help us reach our Fall fundraising campaign goal and continue providing news coverage at the high demand that is being asked of us? You can make a secure donation by visiting https://give.lifesitenews.com

Every dollar you give goes straight to funding this unique news service.

Nearly all of our staff work from their homes, so your donation is not used to pay for large overhead costs associated with maintaining office space. Instead, your donation directly supports the mission of LifeSiteNews: producing and delivering fearless, responsible, hard-hitting, truthful pro-life and pro-family news, analysis and commentary!

LifeSite readers have never let us down. I thank you in advance for considering joining our growing team of supporters. In a world where the globalist-controlled mainstream media provide the frequently false or distorted information that most people foolishly rely on, our readers have never taken LifeSite for granted!

We, in turn, never take your support for granted! Every single donation we receive inspires us to work harder to spread the beautiful truth of the Gospel of Life to as many people as possible!

We pray for you, our donors, every day. Thank you in advance for whatever you decide to give towards the LifeSite mission!
