REGINA, Sask., May 10 (Lifesitenews.com) – In response to the efforts of the Regina Pro-Life Association (RPLA), Regina mayor Doug Archer has declared May to be “Respect for Life Month.” While the mayor unfortunately removed a specific reference to the unborn and other vulnerable groups from the proposed declaration, Bob Waldegger, the executive director of the RPLA was still pleased with the declaration.

Homosexual activists set the precedent last year for the city to declare on controversial issues by demanding the declaration last October of Gay and Lesbian Pride Week. It is not know at this time whether the gay activists’ declaration also had key words of their cause removed by the mayor.

The wording was changed from “the protection of all human life, including the unborn, the aged,  the mentally or physically handicapped, is a basic human life right upon which all other human rights depend” to “the protection of human life is a basic right upon which all other human rights depend.”
