BAKERSFIELD, Ca., Mar 16 ( – The California State Labor Board has ordered the Rio Bravo-Greeley Union (middle) School to stop parents from removing their children from a homosexual teacher’s class. Parents began pulling their children out of teacher James Merrick’s classroom after he engaged in public gay activism and was accused numerous times of inappropriate touching behaviour with students.

One of the parents, Harry H. Wilson of Cerritos, wrote:

Where is it written that parents have no rights … when it comes to the education of their children? Why is the term “free choice” only selectively applied by liberals to such things as abortion and alternative lifestyles, but when parents make the choice that they don’t want their children taught by a homosexual, free choice becomes a stain on society and subject to legal action?
