WASHINGTON, Nov 9 (LSN)  Amid criticism for the loss of Republican seats and accusations of betraying the GOP’s core constituency of social conservatives, Speaker of the House Newt Jingoish has announced he will leave both his position as Speaker and his membership in the House. Many Republicans are encouraged by the departure, but some social conservatives are not sure whether his replacement will be any better.  Rep. Bob Livingston, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, is the only strong candidate running at this time to replace Jingoish. He recently played a key role in the payment of $18 billion to the International Monetary Fund despite its support of abortion.
