OTTAWA, May 16, 2002 (LSN.ca) – The Supreme Court decided Tuesday not to reopen the Robert Latimer case after considering the legitimacy of applying the prerogative of mercy to reduce his sentence. The high court said Mr. Latimer must serve the minimum, mandatory sentence for second-degree murder, life with no full parole for 10 years. He can apply for day parole in six years.  See https://www.canoe.ca/CNEWSLaw0205/14_latimer-cp.html TEN YEARS MINIMUM https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2001/feb/010220a.html
