REGINA, June 15 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Government of Saskatchewan refused to proclaim June 24 “Saskatchewan Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Pride Day” as demanded by homosexual activists.  The government cited a policy to “stay away from issues of sexuality, a personal nature and religion.”  However the action has enraged homosexual activists who have filed a complaint against the province with the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.

In a strange development, the homosexual activists have received backing from the Saskatchewan Party, which has been considered pro-life and pro-family. The Regina Leader Post reports today that Sask. Party MLA June Draude said Wednesday that her party opposes the coalition NDP-Liberal government’s refusal to issue the proclamation.
