LONDON, July 6 (LSN) – From screening embryos to “safe” emergency abortion, “advances” in science are regularly targeting human life for destruction. A study published last week in the British medical journal The Lancet announced it is now possible to get same-day results from prenatal tests for Down’s Syndrome.  The researchers who made the discovery admit that although individuals with Down’s are able to live full lives, the great majority (70+%) of mothers who are informed they are carrying a child with the disorder choose to abort their babies.  Joy Delhany and other scientists at University College in London, England claimed last week they are able to identify embryos with a genetic predisposition to cancer, in order to weed them out in artificial reproduction procedures. Responding to critics who said the embryo screening would lead to “designer babies,” Delhany said,  “Theoretically it could open the door, but for practical purposes it’s never going to be easy to do it.”  Finally, last week a study in the New England Journal of Medicine claimed that the emergency-abortion or “morning-after” pill “can safely be given in advance for women to keep, eliminating the urgent need to find a doctor if passion has preempted preparation.” The world’s leading pro-abortion group, Planned Parenthood, said “every woman of childbearing age should have a set of the pills in her medicine cabinet.”
