LONDON, May 22 (LSN) – Scientists at the Danish Meteorological Institute have found evidence to support their claim that global warming is due to changes in solar activity, rather than “greenhouse gases”  created by human use of fossil fuels, as the standard environmentalist theory goes. Scientists at the European Particle-Physics Centre in Geneva say that the Danish theory could be tested in two years.  Despite the fact that the “greenhouse gas” theory is disputed in many quarters, many nations have agreed to a drastic reduction in the use of fossil fuels. So far, 34 countries, including Canada, have signed the Kyoto agreement, an environmental pact inspired by a controversial United Nations environmental report.  Last month, 15,000 scientists signed a petition refuting the science behind the agreement. Other critics fear it will lead to economic disaster—especially in developing countries.
