GLASGOW, Scotland, Nov 22 (LifeSiteNews.com) – An inaugural pro-life picket in Scotland met with success yesterday as the abortion referral service where they were to demonstrate closed shop early. Over 50 pro-lifers took part in the picket outside Lothian Brook clinic, marking the launch of Precious Life Scotland.

The Sunday Times reported that pro-lifers “aged from seven to 75 held banners saying ‘Stop the killing’ and ‘Together against abortion’.” The group also used enlarged photos which graphically showed the truth about abortion.

Jim Dowson, the founder of the group responded to the pro-abortion media’s accusations of violence saying, “I would absolutely reject any violence. I am a Christian. But let’s think of the babies each year who are ripped from their mothers’ wombs.”
