  CRACOW, Poland, September 11, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Second World-Prayer Congress for Life will be held this year in Cracow, Poland on October 11-14.  The Congress will be held in the Shrine of the Divine Mercy and this year’s theme, similar to last year, will focus on Pope John Paul II’s words in Evangelium Vitae, “A great prayer for life is urgently needed (EV 100).”

  According to the Prayer-Congress website, the speaking roster will include His Eminence Cardinal Stanislaw Nagy, The Right Rev. Bishop Albin Malysiak, Dr. Wanda Póltawska Ph.D., Dr. John C. Rao (U.S.A.), Msgr. Dr. Ignacio Barreiro (Italy) and Laura Panutti (Daughter of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Italy) and several others.

  The schedule will also include Mass at the holy Shrine, the Way of the Cross, and a viewing of select pro-life films.  At the end of the 4 day conference, there will be opportunity to visit several key sites in the life of the late Polish pope and the German concentration camp of Auschwitz.

  This year’s Congress is being coordinated by the Polish Association for the Protection of Human Life.

  Last year’s Congress was held in Fatima, Portugal and attracted over 300 national pro-life leaders.
