LONDON, October 26, 2001 (LSN.ca) – A new board game targeted at 13 to 16-year-olds, is intended to teach children about “safe sex”. The game called “Contraception” was tested with students at various schools in the UK and the BBC reports that all schools can now purchase the game for use as part of their curriculum.

Developed by Salford University lecturer Barbara Hastings-Astourian, the game board features a condom demonstrator, allowing practice of how to use this type of contraception. One teacher who trialled the game in his classroom told the BBC “I can see it forming a part of our sex education classes in future.”
