Planned Parenthood benefits from selling sex toys to teens
August 24, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Several sex toy companies donate profits to Planned Parenthood in a partnership the abortion giant calls essential to its existence.
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) "is here for good and we couldn't do it without friends like Vibrant and you," according to PPRM's website.
Vibrant is a sex toy company that "was launched with the sole mission of supporting Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains," according to Vibrant.
"PPRM will be a major beneficiary of company dividends; the sole recipient of Vibrant’s charitable donations; and a financial beneficiary upon any sale of the company," Vibrant says. The top of its website advertises that it's "inspired and back by Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains."
The company, which boasts an "LGBT Inclusive Language Glossary," doesn't advertise its products as for men or for women because doing so would be "non-inclusive."
Vibrant's top executives are former Planned Parenthood workers.
"Having a partner like Vibrant is critical to our future," Vicki Cowart, president and CEO, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, said shortly after the Republican-controlled Congress promised to defund Planned Parenthood. So far in 2017, they have not.
"Additionally, we believe that all of us in the health and wellness space can spread the word that pleasure is a fundamental component of healthy sexuality," said Cowart. "I'm thrilled to see Vibrant leading that charge, while at the same time becoming an innovative partner supporting Planned Parenthood's mission."
The Washington Times highlighted several other sex toy companies that donate some of their profits to Planned Parenthood, which commits over 300,000 abortions annually.
It receives around half a billion dollars in taxpayer money every year.
In 2014, Live Action released undercover footage of a PPRM staffer coaching an investigator posing as a minor on sadomasochism and "pooping" on partners for sexual pleasure.
"Some whipping" and "some asphyxiation" could be normal, the Planned Parenthood staffer told the investigator who said she was 15. "Tying up and gagging" could be "involved" as well.
The PPRM staffer encouraged the "underage" investigator to go to a sex shop.
An undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress showed the medical director of PPRM admitting "it's a baby" while picking through an aborted human's body parts.
This Planned Parenthood "funding stream is disturbing, but not surprising, considering their record of promoting bondage, sadomasochism and other dangerous sex acts to teenagers," said Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America. "Planned Parenthood's true motives should worry everyone, as they seek to get into our nation's schools to teach their depraved version of 'sex ed.'"
