WASHINGTON, Apr. 20 (LSN) – Today the leftist environmental group Sierra Club began airing political advertisements on radio and television to influence voters for the November mid-term elections.  Daniel Weiss, political director of the group, said, “We’re going to be spending about $6 million on voter education and issue advocacy in this election cycle.” He also noted that the campaigns would be targeted to attack various conservative Republican candidates. The ads will push abortion rights and gun control.
