March 10, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Rattled by the recent pro-life legislation, by the shift in popular support away from the pro-abortion radicalism of the past, and by the huge and growing turnout of crowds at the annual March for Life, pro-abortion groups are fighting back with a march of their own. NOW, NARAL, the Feminist Majority and Planned Parenthood are planning a rally to the theme of “March for Freedom of Choice – Save Women’s Lives.”

At this year’s March for Life in Washington, a new group of advocates for the right to life made a big impact on public consciousness. Holding signs saying “I regret my abortion” the representatives of Silent No More opened a public debate on the harm done to women by abortion. The group has a mandate of raising awareness of the negative impact of abortion on women, men and families, of reaching out to individual women who suffer from post-abortion trauma, and public advocacy that has been remarkably well-received by media.  Silent No More is planning a presence at the pro-abortion march scheduled for April 25th in Washington. In a press release, the group called on women who have suffered from abortion to support the action, “We are planning on countering their message that abortion is safe and good for women and we would like to invite you to join us in Washington DC – our goal is to encircle their lies about abortion with the truth.” The group is also inviting men to attend the event to hold signs saying, “I regret lost fatherhood”.  To be included in the campaign or to voice your support or offer prayers e-mail at email Silent No More at [email protected]
