LONDON, UK, Nov 23 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Swedish research team has made grandiose claims about the “sustained, marked clinical benefit” of using aborted baby brains to treat Parkinson’s Disease based solely on the investigation of one patient whose improvement is attributed to this treatment. While research on the subject has not shown definitive improvement or deficit from the fetal transplant treatment, claims of success based on a single case study are irregular in the scientific field.
The positive slant and exaggerated claims of success based on this one example are even more suspicious given that the team publishing this latest study are the originators of the fetal cell transplant procedure. The study is published in the November issue of the Nature Neuroscience journal and is entitled “Dopamine release from nigral transplants visualized in vivo in a Parkinson’s patient.”
