SEOUL, South Korea, Dec 17 (LSN)  Yesterday, Lee Bo-yon and Kim Sung-bo, fertility specialists at Kyunghee University Hospital, announced to reporters that they had created a cloned human embryo that had the exact same genetic makeup as the 30-year old woman from whom the DNA sample came.  According to today’s Washington Post, the scientists claim they killed the embryo soon after its production so as not to violate any laws. The announcement raised fresh concern about the new wave in bioethics around the world and gave rise to demonstrations outside the Seoul hospital.
