ATLANTA (LSN) – Speaking at the Christian Coalition’s annual conference the coalition’s new president, former Reagan Cabinet member Don Hodel, said schools should teach sexual abstinence and the difference between right and wrong. He called for a new morality in government, urging political leaders to address the religious lobbying group’s concerns about abortion, gambling and homosexuality.

Hodel noted that the Christian Coalition wants an America where abortion is abolished and “where the United States government does not spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year selling and coercing our allies into adopting abortion programs. “I wish that our government would spend even half as much effort and enthusiasm in support of persecuted religious people around the world as they do seeking to kill innocent children,” he said.
