Our heartfelt thanks go to all of you who were able to donate to our summer fundraising campaign. As mentioned Friday, the campaign is officially over and Matthew Hoffman's letter on Friday was the last of the special emails for the campaign.
We haven't yet reached the $100,000 goal and are at $79,129 at the time of this writing, but that is vastly better than the concerning picture of just a week ago when we were nowhere near that amount. Thanks!
Hopefully, there are donations still in the mail that will make up much of the remaining $20,000 needed to keep us going until mid-September. We will keep the donation thermometer up for a few days to let you see what the mail brings in.
You may agree with me that a number of the letters this time were especially interesting and informative. This is the first time our journalists wrote some of these emails. Their contributions were especially interesting. Each had their unique style and insights. I enjoyed publishing their creative work and know that many of you also appreciated them.
With that in mind, we provide for your interest and for possible forwarding to others, if you feel so inclined, the full list of this campaign's letters.
