MANILLA, Aug 26 (LSN) – The Globe and Mail reported Monday on a scientific advancement in rice production which promises to increase both production and health of the staple-food-yielding plants. Researchers at the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines are developing a new variety of rice which “can outperform the most prolific current strains by up to 25%.”
