OTTAWA, Nov 20 (LSN) – The Supreme Court of Canada agreed today to hear an appeal in the case of a little boy suing his mother for injuries suffered in the womb. The New Brunswick court ruled that Ryan Dobson could sue his mother for injuries he incurred when her car crashed into a pickup truck when she was pregnant. In an appeal the New Brunswick Court of Appeal upheld the lower court ruling saying, “A pregnant mother has a general duty to drive carefully, a duty she owes to her children as well as to the general public.”
