STOCKHOLM, March 10, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh announced Friday that her country would be encouraging its foreign embassies to conduct homosexual ‘registered partnerships’ which carry all the same privileges as normal marriage.  “It is very important for Sweden for civil servants who officiate at weddings to be authorized also to officiate at the registration of partnerships,” she said.  The embassies are already authorized in various countries to marry men and women if one member of the couple is Swedish. “Once we have established that a country accepts partnership registration, we will begin to authorize our civil servants at those embassies,” Lind added.  See the Reuters coverage from ABC:  https://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/reuters20030307_292.html
