SWEDEN, Aug. 5 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Swedish “art” exhibition depicting Jesus Christ in a number of homosexual-friendly images is coming to New York next year, according to an article from Wired news (August 2). The display is the work of Swedish lesbian photographer and “artist”  Elisabeth Ohlson: “a series of 12 vividly stylized photographs titled Ecce Homo,” writes Wired.

“The photos depict Christ at various stages in his life, death, and resurrection.” In one,  Joseph and Mary have been replaced by “Mary and Mary.” In another Jesus “is being bathed by a male in what looks like a gay bathhouse.” Ms. Ohlson said she came up with the theme when several of her friends were dying of AIDS and some Christians were calling the illness God’s punishment.

The Wired article notes that “After the exhibition had been on the road for a while in Europe, the European Parliament in Strasbourg voted to cancel it.”
