KAUKAUNA, Wisconsin (LifeSiteNews) — Patrick Meyer, a former high school social studies teacher in the Kaukauna school district, was fired by the school board last night after writing an X post last month complaining that Cole Allen and other alleged recent would-be assassins of President Donald Trump had “missed.”
The Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education voted 6-1 on May 27 to terminate Meyer after more than nine hours of deliberation, per local news outlets. In a deranged since-deleted April 26 X post, the day after Cole Allen, a 31-year-old teacher from California had allegedly attempted to assassinate the president during the White House Correspondents Dinner, Meyer wrote that he was “not impressed” with Cole or any of the men who had allegedly attempted to assassinate Trump in recent years, adding “MAGAA (make Americans great assassins again)!”
Last month, the Kaukauna School District quickly placed Meyer on administrative leave after the post received considerable backlash.

“Mr. Meyer’s social media post created actual material disruption to district and school operations,” the board said in its reasoning for the decision.
During an April school board meeting, several residents had urged the board to fire Meyer.
“If this school district or school board doesn’t do the right thing and fire him, there’s something very seriously wrong with all of you,” Naomi Dvorachek told the board last month.
Charlie West, the lone dissenting vote to fire Meyer, told Fox 11 that while he understands parents’ concerns, “The First Amendment is really important to me. I think we really probably should support that first one. I do understand all the concerns from parents. I am a parent of two high school students, very soon. I think that First Amendment is super important.”
During the assassination attempt that Meyer wished had succeeded, Allen allegedly attempted to rush the security checkpoint at the Correspondents Dinner with a gun before being taken down by the U.S. Secret Service. Nobody was killed, but one agent was injured; Allen was apprehended alive.

In a manifesto attributed to Allen, he allegedly declared he was “no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” referencing long-running left-wing narratives that have never been substantiated.
Meyer was not the only leftist in Wisconsin to express disappointment that the recent attempted assassination had failed. The Wisconsin-based Minocqua Brewing Company, which is known for its far-left activism, expressed disappointment that Trump was not murdered and offered free beer “the day it happens.”

“Well, we almost got #freebeerday. Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know. Regardless, we stand at the ready to pour free beer the day it happens,” the company wrote on Facebook.
The brewery is owned by Democrat activist and former Assembly candidate Kirk Bangstad, who is currently seeking the Democratic nomination for governor in the Badger State.
