Styled on the extremely popular conservative news nexus The Drudge Report, the creator and editors of ProLifeWire hope to provide a comprehensive snapshot of the current news on pro-life issues around the world, by providing carefully vetted and categorized headlines and links to other news agencies.

The brainchild of pro-life activist Andy Moore, ProLifeWire has in been development for barely a week, after the idea for the site occurred to Moore in a moment of inspiration on the Washington D.C. Metro last Friday.

But don’t let the short gestation time fool you – in the past week Moore, who designed and programmed the site himself, has compiled a who’s-who team of experienced bloggers and activists to moderate the site and keep it up to date.

“Abortion is the greatest evil facing our nation and our world today. And timely, relevant, accurate information is one of the most crucial tools in any fight,” Moore said in an interview with LifeSiteNews.com this afternoon.

“By featuring commentary and reporting from National leaders and on-the-ground activists, Pro-Life Wire will serve a further purpose of building unity in the movement. Pro-Life Wire will empower pro-lifers, and strengthen the pro-life movement as we strive to make abortion unthinkable.”

In addition to Moore, the other editors of the site include: Andrew Smith, Texas Pro-Life Action Team; popular pro-life blogger Jill Stanek; Bryan Kemper of Stand True Ministries and Priests for Life; Erik Whittington of Rock for Life; Joshua Edmonds of Georgia Right to Life; and blogger Dr. Michael New.

Stanek told LifeSiteNews.com that she likes the idea of a site that “cuts through the noise” and “spotlights the biggest pro-life news of the day.”

Moore is also the brains behind AbortionWiki, and he said that both sites are founded on the idea that “knowledge is power.” He described AbortionWiki and ProLifeWire as equivalent to “left and right hands.”

“In the battle for life, we need to be on top of our game,” reads the “about” section of the new site. “And to be on top of our game, we need to know the information we need to know, as it happens.

“In our striving for the protection of all human lives, time is of the essence. Pro-Life Wire will save us time by bringing all this information together in one place, updated around the clock.”

ProLifeWire is also present on Facebook and Twitter.
