SIGN THE PETITION: Teen Vogue, Stop promoting anal sex to teen girls!
July 19, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — An openly homosexual editor at Teen Vogue has literally given concerned parents and critics the finger in response to widespread public concerns over the magazine’s recent “how to” article on anal sex.
As part of a string of defiant tweets on July 14, Phillip Picardi, digital editorial director of Teen Vogue magazine (and Allure magazine), shows a selfie of himself kissing another man as he gives critics the finger. Picardi was responding to an explosion of outrage over the Teen Vogue anal sex piece by New York City “sex educator” Gigi Engle.
The July 7 Teen Vogue article, “Anal Sex: What You Need to Know: How to do it the RIGHT way,” promotes sodomy as normal by ignoring health and moral concerns about the practice once known in the biblically-informed West as the “crime against nature.” It says, “It's important that we talk about all kinds of sex because not everyone is having, or wants to have, ‘penis in the vagina’ sex.”
Picardi’s middle finger has a “rainbow” painted on the fingernail, a modern symbol of the aggressive LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) “rights” revolution.
The Teen Vogue article states, “Anal sex, though often stigmatized, is a perfectly natural way to engage in sexual activity. People have been having anal sex since the dawn of humanity. Seriously, it's been documented back to the ancient Greeks and then some. So if you’re a little worried about trying it or are having trouble understanding the appeal, just know that it isn’t weird or gross.”
One of the big, red pullout quotes in the article is: “It [anal sodomy] is often described as a feeling of fullness, which can be delightful.”
Toward the end of the piece, Engle brings up the grotesque realities of rectal “sex,” almost as an afterthought. Another pullout quote reads: “Yes, you will come into contact with some fecal matter.”
“I want to personally assure you that that you will not poop on anyone during anal sex. Sure, there are horror stories, but aren’t there always?” Engle writes. “You are entering a butthole. It is where poop comes out. Expecting to do anal play and see zero poop isn’t particularly realistic.”
The article cavalierly ends with these three sentences: “It’s NOT a big deal. Everyone poops. Everyone has a butt.”
Teen Vogue’s target audience is girls ages 11-17.
Blames 'homophobia'
In another tweet in the same string that ends with his protruding middle finger, Picardi blames the flood of criticism of Teen Vogue on “homophobia,” a familiar rhetorical defense for LGBTQ activists:
“The backlash to this article is rooted in homophobia. It's also laced in arcane delusion about what it means to be a young person today.”
Picardi tweeted that the magazine “published a 411 [information] on Anal Sex story on @TeenVogue as a continued part of our sex education coverage.”
He followed that with a tweet reading, “I monitor the webmaster email and have been inundated with hate mail saying we promote sodomy and want teens to get AIDS.”
It is difficult to believe that anyone wants teenagers to contract a serious sexual disease like HIV, and LGBT advocates tend to conflate disagreement with hate. But whether Teen Voice and Picardi actually received lots of “hateful” correspondence or not, much of the criticism against the youth magazine faulted it for leaving out important information regarding the high-risk act of anal sex (sodomy).
For example, in response to Picardi's defiant Twitter outburst, “Charlotte,” a self-described European feminist, tweeted:
“All great if the article had been helpful and educational. Problem is it was deficient in its info and let down teen girls.
“No mention of risks. No in depth discussion of pressure. Confusion over historical context. Missing parts of female sexual anatomy etc etc
“Trying to present the article as educational and helpful rather than the opposite is highly disingenuous.

Blames Catholics
Picardi went on to blame his Catholic school upbringing for insufficient education about “safer sex.” The following are among his tweets:
“It's funny, because I went to Catholic high school and had 0 sex education. I also had a teacher tell me gay sex was a sin in God's eyes.
“Fast forward to frosh year of NYU, me crying at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, bc I'd just slept w someone who I found out was HIV+.
“You see, my Catholic school was guilty of endangering all of us by sheer omission of FACTS. EDUCATION doesn't equal ENCOURAGEMENT.
“Multiple studies have shown abstinence-only sex-ed is linked to higher rates of STIs and teen pregnancies.
“TBH [To be honest], it is IRRESPONSIBLE. How can you possibly expect teenagers to practice safe sex if they don't know what's at risk?
“How can you expect young women to not get pregnant without access to reproductive health care?”
However, to Picardi’s point about informing kids about risks and “safe sex,” medical experts concerned about the youth magazine’s frivolous promotion of rectal sex fault it specifically for not being accurate and comprehensive in educating about the health hazards of this unnatural act.
“Teen Vogue is promoting the spread of HIV to kids. Apart from intravenous drug use, receptive anal intercourse is the most certain way to become HIV positive,” Dr. Michelle Cretella, founder and president of the American College of Pediatricians, bluntly told LifeSiteNews.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned last year that “anal sex is the riskiest sexual behavior for getting and transmitting HIV for men and women.”
Not healthy for ‘gays’ or straights
Echoing a theme in the original Teen Vogue article, Picardi states in successive tweets: “But until queer sex, love, and families are included in education, we're doing a dangerous and potentially lethal disservice … to a growing population. Gen Z will be our queerest and most fearless generation yet.” (Generation Z is the newest generation.)
But Amy Contrada, a researcher with the national pro-family group Mass Resistance, told LifeSiteNews that she fears for today’s youth. She says they are bombarded with sexual and gender misinformation and — like the Teen Vogue article — a politically correct lack of understanding about the special risks associated with LGBTQ behaviors and lifestyles.
Contrada says the porn-induced, “gay”-affirming push for heterosexuals to engage in anal sodomy is bad for women, dangerous to children and bad for public health.
“One U.S. study estimates there are four times as many women as men now practicing ‘receptive anal intercourse.’ These sodomy-practicing women are apparently doing whatever is required to ‘please their man,’” Contrada said. “American women now have twice the incidence of anal cancer as men. Could this cancer statistic be related in part to this practice?”
“For decades now, our society has allowed — and promoted — the message that sodomy (penis-anus intercourse) is a perfectly normal and even healthy expression of human sexuality. Not surprisingly, CDC statistics show that increasing percentages of men and women are engaging. Accordingly, many heterosexual men (and likely many who identify as bisexual or even ‘gay’) are demanding it of their female sexual partners,” she said.
Last year, MassResistance published a book, Health Hazards of Homosexuality, documenting the many risks associated with homosexual practices and lifestyles.
Contrada added that other homosexual-inspired “anal perversions” beyond sodomy are increasingly being practiced among lesbians and bisexual women. Among them, she said, are “anal penetration with dildos” (fake penises), “anal fisting” — a revolting hand-anal fetish invented by “gay” men and still practiced today by sadomasochists — and “oral-anal” contact popularized in the “gay” subculture as “rimming.”
She said studies have shown that lesbian/bi women may be even more likely than heterosexual women to engage in receptive anal intercourse with a man.
