Washington, July 4, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Crisis magazine, editor Deal Hudson warns in his June 27 e-letter of the serious implications of the Supreme Court decision in the case of Lawrence v. Texas which struck down the right of states to legislate on sodomy.  The politically well-connected Hudson says “Lawrence is a devastating decision, worse than most people think – and for reasons that haven’t fully dawned on them yet”.  Following his communications with Professor Robert George of Princeton, Hudson concludes that “this is without question the most damaging decision handed down by the courts since Roe v. Wade – one that will have even more far-reaching effects than its predecessor.” He emphasizes that the decision could lead to the removal of legal restrictions on other kinds of sexual behaviour and could be used to strike down euthanasia restrictions.  The removal of the sodomy laws leaves no state with a legal defence against homosexual Marriage, says Hudson. “They’ll all fall like dominoes.”  The Crisis Magazine editor concludes that “The LAST HOPE for defeating homosexual marriage lies in a Constitutional amendment that explicitly defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman.” He directs readers to work with The Alliance for Marriage to achieve this goal.  See the Alliance for Marriage website:  www.allianceformarriage.org   Encouraging Sodomy https://www.ncregister.com/Register_News/062903_1.htm
