As you know, LSN carries out its cultural change mission by means of its high quality Daily News stories. All of our expenses are ultimately incurred for the purpose of publishing these reports. Therefore, total annual LSN expenses divided by the number of stories for the same period equals an average cost of about $120 per news report. This is remarkably low considering the value of these reports and the wide, international reach of LifeSiteNews.
This does not just include the writer's fees, but all administrative, technical, overhead and other expenses associated with providing this service. See the story, “If only someone had warned them ,” for more on the costs of operating LSN.
And this also includes our in-depth Investigative Reports. For instance, our most recent Development and Peace report required several calls to South Africa and other calls and research by writer Patrick Craine over several days. His story was then passed though three other LSN staff for final fact checking and editing. Like all of our work, we bend over backwards to research and confirm each story and give you the best report on it.
Many readers have already indirectly sponsored one or more of our published news stories by making a donation that would cover that expense level. If many more readers did this, our burden would be greatly reduced.
For those who cannot afford this sum, why not donate on a monthly basis? A $10 monthly donation would pretty much cover one full LSN news story per year. And when you think about it, that is $.33 per day for LSN's unique coverage of the most important issues in the world. $20 per month would cover two stories and $150 per month for a year would pay for all of one average day's LSN news reports.
