(LifeSiteNews) – A panel of moms and political activists said that inflation and parental rights in education are two of the most important issues for the 2022 elections.

“Certainly the inflation is a concern,” Quisha King, education and membership director of Moms for America, said on a Fox News panel on Sunday. She said moms are seeing the gas prices and rising grocery prices every day.

Rachel Campos-Duffy, the host of the segment, said the high grocery and gas prices means moms have to say no to some things to make ends meet.

“When the prices are high, when the inflation is so out of control, like it is right now, it means moms…when they go to the grocery store can’t make the healthiest choices for their kids,” Campos-Duffy said. “It means they might have to say no to a vacation or a sporting activity.”

New Jersey mom Samantha Hug said she would tell politicians that mothers want “parental control over our children.”

“The state, the government – we are not going to have anyone else besides our families run the lives of our children,” Hug said.

She referenced a new law in the Garden State “pushing transgender identity and all this kind of nonsense.”

“Keep it out of my home; [it’s] not your place to teach my children anything [about sex],” Hug said.

One guest on the panel said she wanted to support “our LGBTQ brothers” and ensure schools teach “history.” Panelist Dr. Jeanine Downie, a dermatologist and mother of one, also claimed critical race theory is only taught in law schools.
