OTTAWA, September 5, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – This Saturday, September 6, the National Post newspaper will carry a full page announcement on the September 7 National Prayer Rally. Organizers of the Sanctity of Marriage rallies are encouraging supporters to buy two copies of the National Post on Saturday and give one to a friend to encourage them to attend the rally.

“Let’s make a strong statement this Sunday – attend a marriage prayer rally at your Member of Parliament’s constituency office at 3:00pm local time,” says Brian Rushfeldt, executive director of the Canada Family Action Coalition, the lead group organizing the event.

Organizers have asked that if individuals opposing the sanctity of marriage turn out to disrupt the rallies, participants not engage in debate or conflict but call police.  The purpose of the rally is to “pray and declare the sanctity of marriage.”
