MANILLA, April 9, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Propaganda programs and offers of free chemical vasectomies are being targeted at men in the Philippines under a program funded by USAID through Management Sciences for Health (MSH).  The Philippine news agency ABS-CBN reported Monday on the launch of one such campaign in the town of Turburan.  The mayor of a nearby town, Rex Casiano Gerona, a 30-something man with four children, will be the first volunteer to become permanently sterilized, setting an example for local men to follow.  Under the USAID funded program, counselors are trained to identify target populations and propagandize for permanent sterilization among the poor.  See the Philippine news coverage:  https://www.abs-cbnnews.com/abs_news_body.asp?section=Provincial&oid=20125   See the MSH webpage which identifies USAID funding:  https://www.msh.org.ph/
