We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

A special set of columns appear on today and over the holidays – reflections on Christmas from our team of writers, and a few good-news stories too. We trust you’ll enjoy them and remember to check online to see photos which accompany some of the reflections. ( ) will not publish from December 24 till January 2.ÂÂ Service will resume January 3, 2006.

At this time of year we reflect on how Joseph and the full-term Mary, the ‘Mother of my Lord’, were turned away from many places before finding a stable in which to give birth to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. A wise man once said that we must pry open the door to the stables of our hearts so that the Lord God may be born in them.

Remember us in your prayers and if you can afford us a Christmas donation it would be most appreciated.
