TORONTO, Jan 8 (LifeSiteNews.com)  The Ontario Tory government is being accused by left-wing pundits of political interference in the Ontario Trillium Foundation—Canada’s largest fund granting charity—in an ongoing controversy over the departure of Trillium head, Julie White. Reform of the organization has been long needed, however, argue pro-life forces who found the organization biased. It consistently denied pro-life and pro-family grant applicants, while giving generously to abortion supporters. LSN sources indicate that Ms. White has personally endorsed the Anti Racist Action Group—a radical pro-abortion group which advocates violence.

Premier Mike Harris noted yesterday that “elite insiders” controlled the granting mechanism giving it a Toronto-centred, left-wing bias. Hopefully the new Trillium mandate will succeed in making it a less biased institution.
