TORONTO, August 11, 2011, (LifeSiteNews.com) – 36-year-old pro-life witness Mary Wagner was arrested again by Toronto police Wednesday morning as she spoke to women waiting to obtain abortions inside the vestibule of a Toronto abortion centre.  Theresa Jalsevac of Campaign Life Coalition accompanied Wagner to the Bloor West Village Women’s Clinic at 9am yesterday.

While Jalsevac remained outside handing out pro-life literature and attempting to speak to couples entering the building in which is located the abortion facility, Wagner entered the waiting room to speak to women awaiting abortions to offer them courage and resources to choose life.

An hour later police arrived in two cruisers and escorted Wagner to the street where they waited about 20 minutes during which time they questioned her.  Jalsevac reports that Wagner replied to their questions gently and was very peaceful.  “She sat on the curb praying her rosary,” Jalsevac told LifeSiteNews.com.

After an extended time, police handcuffed Wagner and placed her in the police car.  As the car drove away, recalls Jalsevac, “Mary looked out through the window of the police car and smiled, she mouthed the words thank you and God bless you.”

Asked how Wagner looked at the time of her arrest, Jalsevac replied, “she looked very ‘Mary,’ just saintly.”

Wagner has been arrested for such peaceful pro-life activism numerous times over the last decade.
