TORY SENATOR ATTACKS RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES

FREDERICTON, NB, Dec 7 (LSN)  During a speech given at St. Thomas University last month, Tory Senator Ron Ghitter, Q.C., attacked pro-life and pro-family “theo-conservatives,” saying that they “pose the greatest threat to the maintenance and advancement of human rights in our nation,” and are more dangerous to Canadian society than “skinheads, the Aryan Nation and white supremacists.”  Covered by Charles Moore in the Calgary Herald, Ghitter’s speech, “Theo-conservatism: A Threat to Human Rights,” included among “theo-conservatives” Preston Manning, Ted Byfield, the Christian Heritage Party, R.E.A.L.
