Transgender activists unfurled a banner during the fifth inning of the World Series gameTwitter

October 30, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Over the past few days, two different transgender activist groups unfurled massive “pride” flags in high-visibility public places to highlight alleged mistreatment of individuals suffering from confusion about their biological sex.

On Sunday, the TransLatin@ Coalition, a group dedicated to the “specific needs” of gender-confused Latina Americans, unfurled a massive pink, blue, and white flag from the upper deck of Dodger Stadium during the fifth inning of the World Series Game between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers, NBC News reports. It reportedly remained unfurled, visible on TV broadcasts of the game, for several minutes.

The banner, which bore the message “TRANS PEOPLE DESERVE TO LIVE,” blocked the view of several dozen baseball fans in the seating below. Security confiscated the banner, escorted out the group’s CEO Bamby Salcedo and one other person, and detained at least one person, but no arrests were made, according to the Los Angeles Blade.

“People must understand that Trans people are part of our society. Our message tonight was to let the world know that we as Trans people deserve to be humanized, acknowledged and valued,” Salcedo told the Blade. “We are claiming our righteous space in society.”

The next day, activists from the National Center for Transgender Equality unfurled 150-foot streams of white, pink, and blue to form a massive flag on the steps outside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., The Hill reports.

“We #WontBeErased, and we won't be forgotten, and we won't be ignored,” the group declared, explaining it had “worked with local advocates and community members” to make the event happen.

Both groups said their stunts were meant to protest the Trump administration’s plans to recognize only biological sex for the purposes of government programs and regulations, and use genetic testing to settle any “gender identity” claims. If implemented, the plan would effectively return the federal government to the pre-Obama status quo

President Donald Trump has also earned pro-LGBT activists’ ire by attempting to ban the gender-confused from military service, removing questions about LGBT status from the 2020 census, and deleting LGBT-specific material from various government websites.
