GREELEY, Colorado, November 1, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Donald Trump held up an “LGBTs for Trump” rainbow flag at a rally on Sunday in a move many on the left see as “shameless pandering” by a candidate who has promised to appoint people like the late Justice Antonin Scalia to the Supreme Court.

LGBTQ Nation, a gay rights website, criticized Trump for holding the flag “upside down.” Typically, the rainbow flag–a symbol of homosexuality and the LGBT cause–is displayed with the red on top and purple at the bottom. The one Trump held had purple at the top and red at the bottom. Had he held it the standard way, the text would have been upside down.

Trump “bizarrely” displayed the rainbow flag but is “in no way a friend to queer people,” JamesMichael Nichols wrote in the Huffington Post.

The Republican candidate sells “LGBTQ for Trump” shirts on his official website.
