(LifeSiteNews) — In a new book, Donald Trump floats the possibility that he may have to imprison Facebook (now Meta) founder Mark Zuckerberg if he interferes in this year’s election.
“We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison – as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Trump wrote, per an advance excerpt provided by Politico.
Save America is set for release September 3 and will be available for purchase at $99. The coffee table book is mostly a collection of photographs paired with Trump’s musings on world leaders and other notable moments from his first term. Trump’s wife, Melania, also has a book coming out, a memoir titled Melania, which is set for release October 1.
Trump’s threat against Zuckerberg was made in a caption beneath an image of him and several advisers meeting with the tech oligarch in the Oval Office. Trump writes that Zuckerberg “told me there was nobody like Trump on Facebook. But at the same time, and for whatever reason, steered it against me.”
As reported by LifeSite, social media platforms intentionally censored the shocking Hunter Biden laptop story during the final weeks of the 2020 presidential election. The move immensely benefited Joe Biden in that he didn’t have to answer questions regarding his as well as his son’s business dealings in Ukraine and China, or his sinful behavior with prostitutes. Conservatives decried the move as obvious election interference.
This week, Zuckerberg admitted in a letter to Congress that the Biden administration pressured his social media companies “to censor certain COVID-19 content.” He also confessed that it was wrong to ban articles reporting on Hunter’s laptop. “It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” he said.
Trump has a history of threatening to imprison political actors. In 2016, he memorably told Hillary Clinton during a debate that she’d “be in jail” if he ever became president. At a luncheon on Capitol Hill for his inauguration in January 2017, Trump praised Clinton and husband Bill for coming to the event, stating that he was “very honored” that they were there. Trump clarified to Newsmax this summer that it would have been “a very bad thing to take the wife of a president of the United States and put her in jail.” But he added that “then I see the way they treat me. That’s the way it goes.”
This past June at his Bedminster, New Jersey residence, Trump vowed to “appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of America, Joe Biden, and go after the Biden crime family.” With Biden having dropped out of the race, the likelihood that that will happen is practically zero.
LifeSite reporter Andreas Wailzer has found that in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, Zuckerberg donated more than $400 million to a left-wing non-profit called The Center for Technology and Civic Life, which disbursed the money to local government election offices, largely in Democrat-leaning counties, as LifeSiteNews has previously reported. Analyses have shown that the funding boosted Joe Biden’s vote margins in critical swing states.
Facebook’s get-out-the-vote effort also reportedly helped register over 4 million voters before the 2020 presidential election. Facebook and other social media companies have shown that they have a massive anti-conservative bias and that this has helped Democrats in their races.
