WASHINGTON, D.C., April 29, 2015, (LifeSiteNews.com) – TV meteorologist and reporter Roxanna Haynes has filed a criminal complaint claiming her millionaire ex-boyfriend forced her to abort their child, threatened to kill her if she didn't, and attempted to strangle her after the abortion.

According to the New York Post, Haynes said that Stephen Jones told her, “I will kill you and our unborn child if you don’t have an abortion. I will run away to China after I kill you.”

The criminal complaint alleges that Jones forcibly took Haynes to a doctor's office where their child was aborted, even though she wanted to keep the baby.

A week later, Haynes claims, Jones grabbed her around the neck during an argument “and forcefully squeezed it, causing her to have trouble breathing and redness to her neck.”

Jones was arrested on April 19 and charged with harassment, coercion, and choking. He was released on $5,000 bail and a temporary order requiring him to stay away from Haynes.

Jones, who is the head of the KPMG auditing firm’s Global Strategy Group and reportedly makes $6 million a year, has denied all the charges.

Jones’ lawyer, Adam Mehrfar told the Post, “The suggestion that she was somehow coerced is preposterous,” explaining that Haynes had demanded money if she was going to abort, while Jones wanted to end their relationship.

“She told him she was pregnant and demanded a large sum of money to get the abortion,” Mehrfar said.

Jones reportedly told police that Haynes “was just hysterical. I was trying to push her off of me,” while Mehrfar told the court that Jones “called the concierge downstairs to ask him to call the police because she wouldn’t leave the apartment.”

Robert Hamilton, who said he is a close friend of Haynes, issued a statement challenging Jones' version of the story.

“Mr. Jones has the audacity to try that age-old tactic of blaming the victim,” Hamilton stated.

“After literally choking her and telling her he was going to kill her, he now wants you to believe she was the aggressor,” he said, according to The Post. “That won’t work here. Facts are a stubborn thing. We are confident that the ongoing investigation will ensure the real facts come out.”
