WASHINGTON, August 11, 2003 ( – reports that a new survey shows two-thirds of Americans oppose same-sex marriage.  The survey, conducted by Scott Rasmussen of Rasmussen Reports, found 66% of U.S. adults believe marriages should be reserved for a man and a woman. Only 27% support homosexual marriage.  Over half, 58% support President Bush’s statement that “Americans should treat gays in a welcoming and respectful manner” while opposing homosexual marriage. 69% of those over age 65 agree, while among those under age 30, a substantial 42% agree with President Bush.  For the WorldNetDaily report:
