MIAMI, May 28, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Rael, the cult which claims that humans are descended from aliens has commenced a frontal attack against the Catholic Church.  The cult, which has gained recent notoriety for its claimed attempt to clone human beings, prides itself on a sexual code similar to that held by advocates of abortion namely “sexual freedom between consenting adults.”  Besides sexuality, the cult’s press release indicates that the Raelian movement, sounding very much like International Planned Parenthood (IPPF), takes issue with the Catholic Church on the issues of abortion, divorce, contraception and homosexuality. This appears to give some credibility to rumours that IPPF founder Margaret Sanger was actually an alien.  “The members of the International Raelian Movement are soon going to be in the streets in every country to launch a campaign to encourage Apostasy, by distributing simple forms to be sent to the bishops of the areas where baptisms had taken place,” says the release.  The Raelian Movement claims 55,000 members in 84 countries.
